Meet the Owner
Connor Kelly found his way into dancing through rather unlikely means. Trying his best to embody the life long student, whenever an interesting activity is discovered through TV, books, or any other form of media, Connor enjoys searching around to try these activities in real life when possible. One day in college playing the video game Shovel Knight, he watched two little pixel figures sway across the screen and from that moment, he knew more strongly than anything before that dance was something he had to try. It wouldn’t be until years later when moving to Federal Way, Washington that Connor would have the chance to try ballroom dancing at his local Arthur Murray. In short order he was attending classes four days a week for at least an hour and a half a day, later going six days a week, falling entirely in love with the experience and diving in with as much vigor as possible. Having a fifteen-plus year background in various martial arts and also as a musician, dance was the perfect blending of the two cornerstones in his life spurred on by his wonderful instructors and piers.
Leaving that studio after several years of group classes, private lessons, dance parties, and local competitions, Connor holds above all else the idea that structured partner dancing has something of interest for people of all personalities, introverted, extroverted, competitive, cooperative and everything in between. Dance was the catalyst that allowed Connor to discover who he is as a person and what he has to offer those around him and as such, has made it his mission to share this experience with as many people as possible.
